A conceptual hot sauce brand inspired by a client who ghosted me

Being ghosted is the worst!

I've had "design for a hot sauce company" on my bucket list for years. When a founder reached out about a new hot sauce brand, I was ready. I’ve been watching Hot Ones for years, and have dedicated a portion of my fridge exclusively for hot sauce. I clicked my pen, about to check it off my bucket list when poof … they ghosted me. That burned!

Rather than leave it there, I used the missed opportunity as the brief. Black Magic Hot Sauce became a fully realized concept. Brand identity, packaging, positioning, the works. All designed to demonstrate what I can do in the CPG space and attract the kind of client I've been wanting to work with. 

Not one to cut corners even for a conceptual brand, the packaging is also fully compliant with the federal Consumer Packaging and Labelling Act and Consumer Packaging and Labelling Regulations in Canada.
