Meliora, meaning the pursuit of something better, feels like a fitting name for this project. It’s unique, feels appropriate for a gin brand with a decorative art deco flare, and this project really is the pursuit of something better for myself.

Working with a distillery or spirits brand has been a long-standing goal, whether that’s whiskey, vodka, gin or something else. I’m also a believer in designing for the type of clients I want to work with, and to show my capabilities. This project allowed me to develop a premium spirits identity from strategy and brand identity through packaging design, and round out a portfolio gap I'd been eyeing for a while. Challenging myself to create something outside of my comfort zone and becoming a more well-rounded designer.
